A notable birthday

Stephen King turns 60 today. Like him or not, you can't ignore the fact that he has sold more novels over the last 30 years than anyone else on the planet. ( I didn't research this but feel it is a safe assumption.) J.K. Rowling has sold more copies of single titles with her Harry Potter series, but Mr. King has more total sales. That's quite an accomplishment for someone whose first eventually published novel (Carrie) had its beginnings rescued from the garbage can by his wife.
