Long Live the iPod!

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post.
My story to The First Line didn't make the cut but this time the rejection said "Fun read, David. Submit again" or something to that effect. I've looked at the line for the next issue and I'll submit one or two stories for it.
I visited a critique group in a city 90 miles away yesterday. Its structure is different from the group in South Carolina, but I enjoyed it. I'll keep going to it if they extend an invitation. I took two pieces of flash fiction (1,000 words or less) I've written over the last few weeks. They liked one of them pretty well and thought the other needed a lot of work, which goes along with my feelings toward the stories.
An idea for a novella or possibly novel has hit me during the last week. I need to jot a few notes for it and finish a story I started a few months ago that's over 10,000 words.
My iPod has been a lifesaver on my commute to and from work everyday. The latest books I've listened to are "The Talisman" by Stephen King, "Fear Nothing" by Dean Koontz, "Lisey's Story" by Stephen King, and I'm currently listening to "Black Notice" by Patricia Cornwell. Next on the hit parade will be sequels to all of the above except "Lisey's Story."
